| We booked a twin room at The Roosevelt Hotel for a week. When we arrived, we got our room, a little dark, due to the style of the room, but the room was large (about 18 square meters) cosy, and with two queen sized beds. The room was clean and was cleaned every day, with new towels, bed sheets etc. Only complaint about the room was the noisy aircondition, which could not be turned off. The bathroom had a good size and even with a bath tub.
The staff at the hotels was extremely helpsome, with tips about the city and where to go shopping. The lobby was amazing, unfortunately to dark for pictures.
We tried the resturant, excelent service, but a bit pricy, two persons, 200 dollars for entrees, desert and a bottle of wine. The food was excelent, except for the desert (why wasn't I warned about root beer and vanilla ice), which was our own fault.
The bar was great, with a large selection of single malt whiskey, drinks, beers. The prices were a bit higher than avarage.
The location of the hotel is excelent, in walking distance to Grand Central Station, Empire State Building, Central Park and the UN building.
It is close to the Metlife building, which we used as a guidence, to find our way to the hotel.
When we checked out, the bell boy took care of our luggage (for free, except tips) and when we departed for the airport, we used the hotel car for JFK. (60 dollars)
IWe would stay at the roosevelt again and recommend it to anyone.

| We stayed at this hotel for 4 days as part of a 2 week vacation. The hotel is located a couple of blocks away from Termini station, which is REALLY convenient.. We arrived in Rome early on Sunday Morning after an overnight flight from New York. We were worried that we would not be able to get our room until early afternoon, but I think after the front desk clerk saw how exhausted we looked, he gave us our room with no issue - we were grateful and were able to catch a few hours of much needed sleep. This hotel is perfect for people who want to explore old Rome on foot - we were able to walk to the Colosseum, Forum, Spanish Steps, Borghese Gallery, Pantheon, Pizza Popolo, etc.... Also, it is close to a metro stop, so the day we decided to go shopping (and it was raining), as well as to visit the Vatican, we were able to take the subway very easily.
We found the hotel to be very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine and the service was very good. As indicated with other comments, morning breakfast was sparse compared to other hotels we stayed at in Italy on this vacation....we were limited to cereals, pastry / buns and hard boiled eggs.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

| A very good hotel for the price, with comp breakfast and internet. Rooms very modern, flat screen TV, recently refurbished, extremely clean. Great central location minutes from Times Square, Macy's etc. But what made it stand out for us was the helpfulness of the staff. I'd recommend it!

| We have just returned from a fabulous stay in Boston. This was our first trip and we were looking forward to exploring a new City. We stayed in the Sheraton and right from the start we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very curtious and helpful. We were very impressed with our Suite, which was upgraded when we checked in. The hotel is in a fabulous location, just beside the Prudential Centre, a couple of minutes walk for the "T". Each evening, after dinner, we sat in the bar and enjoyed our surroundings. We also used the leisure centre where we enjoyed a relaxing swim, sauna and jacuzzi. We would certainly recommend the Sheraton to anyone wishing to stay in a comfortable, friendly, spotless hotel. We will be back.

| My wife and I ended up staying in New Otani Hotel and Garden for 3 nights after another hotel I booked turned out to be a dump. Very surprised to see many negative reviews for this hotel. First of all, the lobby is very beautiful and inviting. We checked in and checked out in a matter of minutes. The staff is knowledgeable and housekeeping did their job. The only comment I agree to is that it does not feel like a 4 star hotel; 3 star at best. We had a king bed on 9th floor. It was small but clean and appealing with Japanese flare. The only problem the bed was very hard, almost like sleeping on the wooden board. The hotel staff told us we had a brand new mattress but I don't necessarily buy into it. This is a Japanese owned and operated hotel and it shows throughout the decor. Maybe this is why the beds are so hard. If you have a bad back, you'd be in trouble. The bathroom is small, maybe needs a little remodeling but all in all, very nice. If you like Japanese food, you must try their Japanese restaurant Thousand Cranes. Food quality and taste is absolutely amazing. A bit pricey but well worth it. There are also 2 other restaurants, 2 bars, and a Starbucks Coffee on the premises but we didn't try them. Business Center consists of 2 computers located in the lobby with free access to internet - a huge plus considering most hotels charge for the internet access. The parking garage is right under the hotel and is $14.85 per day with in and out priviledges. The hotel is located in downtown Los Angeles next to Little Tokyo, about 20min. by car from Hollywood. In summary, New Otani Hotel and Garden is a very nice hotel for a relaxed stay. ..more |

| A great hotel. Good service, good food, and very comfortable beds. The only thing I would fault them on is parking availability during ball games but it is understandable since they are next to the ballpark. The good news is I almost always get this hotel on Priceline.

| I just stayed at the Comfort Inn in Revere with my son to deliver him to Logan for a 6:50 am FLIGHT (OUCH! since it was international for study abroad, and we aimed for arriving 3 hours early). Some other hotels only offered free shuttle service from 7 AM to midnight or similar limited hours, so the 24-hour shuttle was what attracted us.
The Mapquest instructions for getting there from when I picked my son up in Medford were net helpful in the dark, since I never saw a "circle" which I drove right through, and missed a turn. But when we gave up and called the local number, what a pleasure! The voice mail had as one of the options "get directions or speak to a local", and when I told them what store's parking lot I was in, they knew right where I was and directed me with skill, grace and warmth.
Every interaction was a pleasure, from the offer of a wake-up call, to the every-half -hour, 24-hours-a-day shuttle service (aahh!), to offering to let me check out at noon instead of 11 for an extra hour of sleep when I asked for a second wake up call. On returning from the airport, I ate the free continental breakfast (make-your-own-waffles as one of the choices) before heading back to bed. Later that morning I discovered my sister was going in for emergency surgery (!!) and the front desk was over-the-top helpful in finding me a florist and getting clear enough instructions I wouldn't get lost in all the rotaries. I am from Vermont, a town with two stop lights in the village and one three miles away by the hospital. The staff here was warm and helpful, reminding me of people from a small town rather than the "big city".
The room itself had plenty of floor space around the beds to navigate around the luggage, and could have accommodated a rollaway bed if needed. It was a non-smoking room and smelled perfectly clear. All was clean, fresh-appearing, and in good working order.
This is not a luxury hotel: there is a tiny indoor pool, and an exercise room I never had a chance to visit, and they couldn't come up with a plastic knife (to cut our snack in the room before the continental breakfast opened) when I asked (very apologetic and sweet, but no knife).
They are energy conscious, reducing plastic waste by having dispensers for soap, shower gel, and shampoo (no conditioner, alas) mounted on the walls, and with the signs about only replacing linens and towels if requested. They had recycling bins by the elevators on our floor (for newspapers and vending machine or other bottles), and ice and vending machines.
A whole lot of their traffic is airline employees, I would gather by my observations that morning.
Our room, at $121 + tax for two double beds, was bare bones with no refrigerator, but it had a coffee pot and an ethernet cable for in-room broadband access. My wireless card could pick up their signal in the lobby as well, but if it hadn't worked, there was a room with a computer with internet for guest use as well.
Parking is free while you are there, and there is a park and ride option, for a fee, if you are flying out yourself.
At noon before heading to the florists I drove back to the rotary to get a grip on how it worked (quite bizarre, with route 60 bisecting the rotary, necessitating stoplights all over it!) because I figured the service was so great, I'd be back the next time I needed to stay near the airport. I do recommend getting directions from the hotel directly if you will be driving in after dark.
