One of the best and most convenient hotels in Zurich!
I only stayed at Leonardo Boutique Rigihof overnight but was completely pleased with everything including the location, services and amenities. No wonder it got a 4-star rating because this hotel was really elegant and features high-tech equipments. The airport was just a few minutes away from the hotel and I was lucky to get a cab at the airport because I heard some tourist complaining about how hard it was getting a cab. The university was really close which was perfect because that's where I went for a lecture. I actually did it for free as part of my advocacy. I chose the business package so I can get freebies like 24-hour internet, breakfast, cocktails and a 3-course meal at the hotel restaurant...the steak was superb! The room was spacious and has an artsy design which was nice to look at. It also got a work desk and small sitting area which made it more convenient for me to work and have snacks. The only issue I have with Leonardo Boutique Rigihof Hotel is that it's non-smoking so I have to go out to smoke. The central station was near but too bad I didn't have much time to go around Zurich.
Though the room was OK, the windows were so dirty you could almost not see through... And you could here the noise of the tramways since 5 a.m. until 1 a.m. The bathroom and the plumbing were as old as the house (built in 1933) and the toilet flush went on all night on.

Great hotel
Great little hotel, small but clean and neatly laid out rooms - the balconies were a good touch. Very good central location to explore this city on foot and tram. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Zurich.
"Fabulous Hotel!"
We stayed at the Rigihof for 1 night during August 2005. This hotel is wonderful. It is right by a tram stop in a quiet area of Zurich, about a 2-3min tram ride into the centre of things. The receptionists were helpful, nice and even gave us a welcome drink. We walked in looking a mess after an early morning and with some huge rucksacks, and the staff treated us exactly like the polished couple next to us. The room was light, spacious and airy. We even had a balcony overlooking some pretty apartments. This hotel really did think of everything. In the wardrobe, there was an umbrella for use free of charge which you could also purchase at the end of your stay if you wished. There were slippers, a rubber duck in the bathroom, huge jars of soap, a reasonably priced mini bar, sweeties, everything you wanted really. The hotel info booklet was very very comprehensive, and there was lots of info on Zurich. As in most hotels, the beds were 2 twins pushed together which doesnt make for the most romantic evening, but they were still comfy. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Dinner was very nice, a mix of Italian and swiss specialities, and the staff were superb. It was pricey, but similar to the rest of Switzerland. We were even brought a small swiss speciality compliments of the chef. Breakfast was a continental style buffet, which again was nice. All in all, we were very happy with this hotel, especially as we had gotten a very cheap rate having shopped around on the internet. This hotel really is style and class without any pretentiousness.
