Great deal at a great hotel in a great city
Spent 7 days there in May, 2009. Room was decent size (especially by European standards) and the bathroom was very nice (even including washcloths---which are often rare to find in France). Good location (~15 minute walk to the Arc' de Triomphe and Champ Elysee), pleasant staff, clean rooms and the hotel was even attached to a great, underground shopping mall that included a top-shelf grocery store and bakery. The hotel is even located next to the shuttle stop for the CDG Airport. We would definitely go back. If it had any drawback, it was that there was a charge to use the hotel's computer...but that's pretty trivial.

"Just Right"
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in March and loved it! The staff was very friendly and our room was nice. It has a very convenient Metro stop in the adjoining mall. Breakfast buffet was good. We would definitely stay here again.

"Getting a great experience and value too!"
We stayed at the Club Lafayette section of this hotel, which is the truly 4 star portion of the hotel. It includes rooms on the top 8 floors (25-33) and we requested a top floor with view of the eiffel tower. Since we were staying for 12 nights, they were more than happy to meet our request (31st floor). The view from the room was wonderful. We had the Bois du Boulogne to the right, the Eiffel tower straight ahead, and the Arc du Triomphe to the left. We could even see Notre Dame in the distance. In addition to the view, the Club Lafayette is like the business club area of good American hotels. It includes: a separate high speed elevator system which stops only at these floors, lots of amenities like robes, safe, and an excellent buffet breakfast with everything from cold cuts, cheese, bacon, eggs, croissants, breads, yogurt, fresh fruits, fruit juices, coffee tea, etc. served in the lounge on the 30th floor. In the afternoon, they served wonderful pastry, cakes, and coffee. Between the two feedings, we only needed a light dinner each night which saved significant cash. The service in the free 30 th floor Lounge was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The staff all spoke English and treated us like they really cared how we were doing and what we needed and wanted. Other amenities for Club Lafayette includes free admission to a full health club, which is independent from the hotel, and just across the street. There was very attentive maid service with afternoon turndown and replenishment of towels, soaps, etc. The room was very comfortable with a king bed and the expected electronics. It was on the small side, but large enough for two people to be very comfortable. The large window was like a magnet as we enjoyed the panoramic views with different lightings just as the impressionists did in the country side. Part of the window opened for ventilation and the room had individually controlled heating/ac. With the window closed, the room was very very quiet. It was comfortably quiet with the window open as well. The bottom line about this hotel is twofold: 1) If you want a truly 4-star experience with all the trimmings, get a Club Lafayette room. It cost us 259 euros/day all taxes, service, etc. included. With the weak dollar it adds up to be pretty expensive, but for what you get, it's an excellent value. The Club Lafayette lives up to its billing. 2)If you have to have a totally historic, French experience at your hotel, then this may be too international a hotel for you. It is a modern, full service hotel a bit separated from the old central city. However, after each day of sightseeing (which is easy to do using the adjoining Metro station) we were all too glad to enjoy the beauty of Paris from our hotel room without the crowds and noise of the central city. The hotel is well located with plenty of restaurants, bistros, brasseries, etc. in the neighborhood. This place is a winner. I'd recommend the Club Lafayette very highly.

"Lovely Hotel, Excellant Location"
Stayed here for 3 nights in May 2007 on business. Hotel is huge – 1000 rooms. Very big lobby when you enter. We stayed during the same time as the tennis and the hotel was heaving (not excessively though). The rooms were very nice as expected – I had no issues with my room. Breakfast was wonderful and had a wide variety of foods. My only downside would be that the hotel is too large. I had trouble finding the free gym….gave up in the end. The location was great. We walked to the Eifel Tower and the Champs-Elysées…my collegue said it would take 30 mins…more like 75 mins!! But it was worth it. Great views across the city from the tower (we qued for 2 hours) but was everything you expected of it. Would recommend this hotel

"Terrific Hotel"
Me and my family have recently spent an eight wonderful days in Paris. This hotel added to the pleasure of the visit. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere and the staff are very cooperative. Our rooms were very clean and provided a wonderful view to the Eiffel tower, it contain a mini bar, flat-screen satellite TV and a hairdryer. The reception and the lobby area were extensive and organized. The location (a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe) is excellent both for walking to the Champs Elysee. There is a very nice marketplace allied to the hotel and there are many splendid restaurants nearby. We design to settle at this hotel again If we revisit Paris.

Great Hotel in an unbeatable location - had airconditioned rooms which is becoming a must in France but so few have it - will definitely book this again when I go back in August!
